The main chemical composition of SS400 angle steel includes carbon (C), silicon (Si), manganese (Mn), sulfur (S) and phosphorus (P) and other elements. Among them, the carbon content is about 0.05-0.20%, and the manganese content is about 1.40-1.75%. In terms of mechanical properties, the tensile strength of SS400 angle is between 400-510 MPa, and the yield strength is about 245 MPa. The yield strength varies according to the thickness of the steel, specifically: when the thickness is less than or equal to 16mm, the yield strength is ≥245MPa; when the thickness is between 16mm and 40mm, the yield strength is ≥235MPa; when the thickness is between 40mm and 100mm, the yield strength is ≥235MPa; when the thickness is between 40mm and 100mm, the yield strength is ≥235MPa. When the thickness is between 16mm and 40mm, the yield strength is ≥235MPa; when the thickness is between 40mm and 100mm, the yield strength is ≥215MPa; when the thickness is greater than 100mm, the yield strength is ≥205MPa12.
