GB/T 713-2014 standard includes a total of 12 grades such as Q245R, Q345R, Q370R, Q420R, 18MnMoNbR, 13MnNiMoR, 15CrMoR, 14Cr1MoR, 12Cr2Mo1R, 12Cr2Mo1VR, 12Cr1MoVR and 07Cr2AlMoR.

 

In GB/T 713, Q245R and Q345R steel plates are supplied in hot rolled, controlled rolled or normalised condition, which have very good resistance to high temperature hydrogen corrosion; at the same time, the temper embrittlement resistance is improved, and they are widely used in many industries.

Standard And Application Of Tempered High-strength Steel Plates For Pressure Vessels

 

GB/T 19189-2011 standard includes four grades of 07MnMoVR, 07MnNiVDR, 07MnNiMoDR and 12MnNiVR.

 

07MnMoVR, 07MnNiVDR, 07MnNiMoDR are used in the construction of large storage vessels spherical tanks, of which 07MnNiMoDR boiler steel plate is designed for the construction of large-scale petrochemical, chemical, and coal chemical installations in the design of the temperature of the steel plate for -40 ℃ ~ -50 ℃, 12MnNiVR steel boiler The 12MnNiVR steel boiler plate is used for the construction of 100,000m3 and 150,000m3 large crude oil storage tanks.

Standard And Application Of Steel Plates For Low-temperature Pressure Vessels

 

GB/T 3531-2014 standard includes 6 grades such as 16MnDR, 15MnNiDR, 15MnNiNbDR, 09MnNiDR, 08Ni3DR, 06Ni9DR.

 

Among them, 08Ni3DR pressure vessel plate is low alloy steel plate for low-temperature pressure vessel, its standard tensile strength ≥ 490MPa, the lowest use temperature is -100 ℃, 08Ni3DR pressure vessel steel plate for 3.5Ni steel plate containing 3.25%-3.70% Ni; 06Ni9DR pressure vessel plate material for low-temperature pressure vessel alloy steel, its standard tensile strength ≥ 680MPa, the minimum operating temperature of -196 ℃, mainly used in the construction of large-scale LNG cryogenic storage tanks.

Standards And Applications Of Stainless And Heat-resistant Steel Plates For Pressurised Equipment

 

A total of 33 grades are included in the GB/T 24511-2017 standard, of which 3 are ferritic-type steel, 8 are austenitic-ferritic-type steel, and 22 are austenitic-type steel.

 

When the use temperature of austenitic-type steel is higher than 525℃, the carbon content in the steel should be not less than 0.04%; when the use temperature of austenitic-type steel is ≥-196℃, it can be exempted from impact test; the lower limit of the use temperature of ferrite-type steel plate is 0℃, the lower limit of the use temperature of austenitic-ferritic-type steel plate is -20℃, and the lower limit of the use temperature of austenitic-type stainless steel plate is -269℃.

Smelting method

Steel plates for pressure vessel steel pressure elements shall be made of oxygen converter or electric furnace smelted sedentary steel. For low alloy steel plates and austenitic-ferritic stainless steel plates with the lower limit value of standard tensile strength greater than 540MPa, as well as for cryogenic steel plates with the design temperature lower than -20℃, the extra-furnace refining process should also be adopted.

 

Chemical composition

Carbon steel and low alloy steel plate for welding, its C ≤ 0.25%, P ≤ 0.035%, S ≤ 0.035%.
The chemical compositions of carbon steel and low alloy steel plates in steel for pressure vessels are as follows:
(1) Steel with standard lower limit of tensile strength ≤540MPa, P≤0.030%, S≤0.020%;
(2) For steel with a lower value of standard tensile strength > 540 MPa, P ≤ 0.025%, S ≤ 0.015%;
(3) For steel with design temperature below -20℃ and lower limit value of standard tensile strength ≤540MPa, P≤0.025%, S≤0.012%;
(4) for the design temperature below -20 ℃ and the lower limit value of standard tensile strength > 540MPa steel, P ≤ 0.020%, S ≤ 0.010%.
