Standards and certifications
S275JR c channels conform to EN 10025-2 and are usually CE marked for use in buildings within the EU. GNEE can provide a Mill Test Certificate (MTC) to EN 10204 (e.g. Type 2.2 or 3.1) to confirm compliance with chemical and mechanical specifications.
Manufacturing process
S275JR structural channels are manufactured by hot rolling, where the billet is heated above its recrystallization temperature and formed into a channel using rollers. After rolling, the steel is cooled, cut to size and may be given a surface treatment such as shot peening or galvanizing to improve durability.
