SAM490CW corten welding steel is a good weathering steel that belongs to the Japanese JIS standard. Its main components are copper, chromium, nickel, silicon and phosphorus.
SAM490CW weathering steel has the following characteristics:
1. Good weathering resistance: After SAM490CW atmospheric steel is exposed to the atmosphere for a certain period of time, a dense oxide layer is formed on the surface. This oxide layer prevents the steel from further oxidation, thus having good weathering resistance.
