EN/BS S355JR/S355J0 457x191x89 Hot rolled Steel Beam
S355JR/S355J0 h-shaped iron beam material standard
Complies with European standard EN10025, belongs to low-alloy high-strength structural steel, divided into two grades S355JR and S355J0.
S355JR h-shaped steel beam: impact toughness test temperature is 20℃, suitable for conventional environment; S355J0 h-type beam: test temperature is 0℃, low temperature resistance is better.
Material characteristics and performance of S355JR/S355J0 h-shaped beam
Chemical composition
Main elements: carbon (C≤0.22%), silicon (Si≤0.55%), manganese (Mn≤1.60%), phosphorus (P≤0.025%), sulfur (S≤0.025%); alloying elements optimize strength, plasticity and toughness to ensure material stability.
Mechanical properties
Yield strength: ≥355MPa (both grades meet).
Tensile strength: 470~630MPa (S355JR) or 450~680MPa (S355J0).
Elongation: ≥22% (to ensure material ductility).
Impact toughness: S355JR ≥27J at 20℃, S355J0 ≥27J at 0℃.
Application fields of S355JR/S355J0 h beam material
Engineering structure: suitable for large-scale buildings, bridges, ships, machinery manufacturing and other fields, due to its high strength and stability; often used in key parts such as main frames, load-bearing structures, and ship decks.
Environmental adaptability
S355JR steel h column: suitable for heavy engineering under normal climatic conditions; S355J0 structural h beam: better low temperature resistance, suitable for cold areas or low temperature working environments, with corrosion resistance and fatigue resistance.
