S450J0 H Structural Steel Beam

S450J0 grade H-beam is widely used in the construction industry due to its excellent mechanical properties and good processing performance.

The main chemical elements and their maximum contents of S450J0 structural H-beam are: carbon (C) 0.22%, silicon (Si) 0.55%, manganese (Mn) 1.7%, phosphorus (P) 0.035%, sulfur (S) 0.035%, nitrogen (N) 0.025%, copper (Cu) 0.55%.

Mechanical properties
Yield strength: The minimum yield strength is 450MPa for thickness of 16mm and below, and the yield strength decreases as the thickness increases. For example, when the thickness is in the range of 16 to 40mm, the minimum yield strength is 430MPa.

Tensile strength: The tensile strength of S450J0 steel is in the range of 550-720MPa for thickness 3-100mm, and 530-700MPa for thickness 100-150mm.

Impact energy: The impact energy at 0℃ is 27J. It has good toughness at low temperature and can resist the impact of external forces.

Elongation: The minimum elongation is 17%, which reflects that the material has good plasticity and can withstand a certain degree of deformation without breaking.
