Material grade classification
S275JR h beam profile: basic low-carbon steel, yield strength ≥275MPa, suitable for medium load scenarios.
S355JR h steel profile: high-strength upgraded version, yield strength ≥355MPa, with stronger compression and deformation resistance, suitable for heavy load or dynamic load environment.
The suffix "JR" means that the material has an impact toughness of ≥27J at 20℃, which meets general engineering needs.
Processing and welding characteristics
Processability: Both materials have good cold bending, cutting and forming properties. S275JR has a lower carbon content and better plasticity, which is suitable for processing complex structural parts.
Weldability: By controlling the content of sulfur and phosphorus impurities, it is not easy to crack during welding, and it is suitable for arc welding, gas shielded welding and other processes.
Low-temperature toughness: S355JR h section beam can still maintain stable performance in low temperature environments (such as -20℃), while S355J2 (higher grade in the same series) can withstand lower temperatures.
