Larssen sheet piles were developed in 1906 by Tryggve Larssen. Applications include marinas, oil terminals, waste storage facilities, shoreline protection, bridges, houses, buildings, dry docks and other construction sites and for reinforcing pond banks to prevent sinking and flooding.
Larsen sheet piles are a type of sheet pile retaining wall. Segments with jagged profiles (troughs) interlock to form walls with alternating serrations and serrations. Grooves increase resistance to bending. These segments are usually made of steel or other metals.
