Z-type Piling Product Description
Continuous webs and external interlocking in sheet piles are key features of Z-sections. Both factors have a positive influence on the section modulus of sheet piles, at relatively low weights. This results in high cost efficiency.
Advantages of Z-shaped steel sheet piles: External Larsen locks allow for extremely favorable weight-to-section modulus ratios, and the interlocking connections are located in the areas with the lowest shear forces. The high installation height of the profiles results in high stiffness values, which limits deflections and allows the selection of higher steel materials.
