1, Different characteristics.

GB/T 700-2006 standard carbon structural steel Q235 is divided into four grades A, B, C and D according to metallurgical quality

Q235A grade contains C ≤ 0.22% Mn ≤ 1.4% Si ≤ 0.35% S ≤ 0.050 P ≤ 0.045

Q235B grade contains C ≤ 0.20% Mn ≤ 1.4% Si ≤ 0.35% S ≤ 0.045 P ≤ 0.045

Q235C with C ≤0.17% Mn ≤1.4% Si ≤0.35% S ≤0.040 P ≤0.040

Q235D grade containing C ≤ 0.17% Mn ≤ 1.4% Si ≤ 0.35% S ≤ 0.035 P ≤ 0.035

Q235 elemental content A, B, C, D sulfur content in decreasing order; A and B have the same phosphorus content, C has the second highest phosphorus content, D has the least phosphorus content

Deoxidation method symbol:

F indicates boiling steel.

b indicates semi-sedated steel.

Z indicates a sedimented steel.

TZ indicates that the special sedation steel.

Sedation steel may not be marked symbols, that is, Z and TZ can not be marked. For example, Q235-AF indicates A grade boiling steel.

Q345C: C≤0.20, Mn ≤1.70, Si≤0.50, P≤0.030, S≤0.030, Al≥0.015.

Q345D: C≤0.18, Mn ≤1.70, Si≤0.50, P≤0.030, S≤0.025, Al≥0.015.

Q345E: C≤0.18, Mn ≤1.70, Si≤0.50, P≤0.025, S≤0.020, Al≥0.015

Q345A, B, C, D, E all contain Nb ≤ 0.07, V ≤ 0.15, Ti ≤ 0.20, Cr ≤ 0.30, Ni ≤ 0.012, Mo ≤ 0.10

Normalizing can improve the cutting performance of hardness less than 160HBS blank. The steel is tempered, its comprehensive mechanical properties to optimize the other medium carbon structural steel, but the steel NMenability is low, the critical quenching diameter in water is 12 ~ 17mm, water quenching tendency of cracking. When the diameter is greater than 80mm, after tempering or normalizing, its mechanical properties are similar, for medium and small mold parts after tempering treatment can obtain higher strength and toughness, and large parts, it is appropriate to normalize the treatment, so this steel is usually used in the state of tempering or normalizing.
