A36 (ASTM A36) is the most commonly used hot rolled steel grade and has good overall mechanical properties, is easy to fabricate, and can be hot or cold formed. Due to the hot rolling process, the surface of this steel can be rough compared to cold rolling.
A36 chemical composition: С≤ 0.25; Si≤ 0.40; S≤ 0.05; P≤ 0.04; Cu≥ 0.20.
