Corrosion resistance
Galvanized channel steel has a thick dense layer of pure zinc covering the surface of steel, can avoid the steel matrix and any corrosive solution contact, protect the steel matrix from corrosion. In the general atmosphere, the surface of the zinc layer forms a very thin and dense layer of zinc oxide, which is difficult to dissolve in water, the steel matrix plays a certain protective role. If the zinc oxide and other components in the atmosphere to generate insoluble zinc salt, the anti-corrosion effect is more ideal.
High-temperature oxidation resistance
Galvanized channel steel has high-temperature oxidation resistance, but the oxidation rate will be exposed to the environment and product form and other inherent factors. Galvanized channel steel heated to 850 ~ 1250 ℃, followed by cooling at a cooling rate of 1 ℃ / s or more of the heat treatment, can be formed with a volume fraction of more than 12% martensite organization, thus improving its corrosion resistance and bending processing performance.
Physical Properties
The physical properties of galvanized channel steel include its heat transfer coefficient, wear resistance and ductility. The total heat transfer coefficient of a metal depends on the thermal conductivity of the metal, the heat dissipation coefficient of the film layer, the rust skin and the surface condition of the metal. Stainless steel maintains a clean surface and therefore has better heat transfer than other metals with higher thermal conductivity. Galvanized channel steel has an iron-zinc alloy layer that is densely bonded and exhibits characteristic corrosion resistance in marine salt spray atmospheres and industrial atmospheres. Since zinc has good ductility, its alloy layer is firmly attached to the steel base, so the hot plated parts can be cold punched, rolled, drawn, bent and other kinds of molding without damaging the plating layer.
