Galv Channel Products Description
Galvanized Channel is an A36 hot rolled low carbon channel steel treated with a zinc rich hot dip plating process. Galvanized channel is a cost-effective alternative to stainless steel for up to 30 years of rust protection while maintaining considerable strength through a durable NM surface coating.
Galvanized channel is A36 hot rolled steel, or mild steel where the channel has been dipped in a molten zinc coating process (ASTM A123). Hot Dipped Galvanizing (HDG) can be recognized by its crystalline pattern, also known as the "shimmer" on the surface of the material. It is highly corrosion resistant and suitable for outdoor or exposed environments. Common applications include heating and cooling systems, sidewalks, ramps, structural supports, trailers and electrical protection.
