Corten Weathering Steel Products Description
A242 Type1 weathering steel sheet is a hot rolled product of structural steel in technical delivery condition with improved atmospheric corrosion resistance.
A242 Type1 weather resistant steel main alloying elements are chromium, nickel and copper, and phosphorus is added to give it excellent self-protection properties.
A242 Type1 weathering steel plate delivery status: hot rolled, cold rolled, normalized, quenched, tempered, thermo-mechanical controlled process (TMCP), electroslag remelting technology, HIC test.
A242 Type1 weathering metal is mainly used for container steel. In addition, A242 Type1 weathering plate also has a wide range of applications: construction, chimneys, manufacturing, trucks, silos, towers and bridges.
