S275 is an unalloyed low carbon mild steel supplied hot rolled. As a mild steel specification, S275 has low strength, good machinability and is suitable for welding.S275 flats are suitable for a wide range of general engineering and structural applications.
S275 has low strength (lower than S355) but has good machinability and weldability.S275 steel has an average minimum yield strength of 275 N/mm², hence the name S275.
