Carbon Steel Flat Products Description
Grade 1075 Carbon Steel Flat Bar is high in carbon but is softer and easier to form than Grade 1095 Carbon Steel. They have a high yield strength and can return to their original shape after bending, and are often made into springs, blades, knives, lock pins, washers, antennas and clamps. Grade 1075 carbon steel is also known as blue tempered steel, spring steel, and high carbon steel.
1075 is one of the most common and easiest-to-use steels in knife making. It is cleanly forged, easily heat treated, and can be filed, ground, and finished with ordinary tools.
1075 carbon steel flat steel alloy content: carbon - 0.70; manganese - 0.40; phosphorus - 0.03; sulfur - 0.05.
