457*191*98 S355JR/S355J0 Universal Beams (UB)

S355JR beam steel: It is a high-strength low-alloy structural steel with a carbon content of about 0.24%. It has good impact toughness and performs well at both room and low temperatures. It is suitable for structures that bear large loads and moments, such as bridges, high-rise buildings, etc.; the tensile strength is usually 470-630MPa, and the yield strength is 355MPa.

S355J0 steel beam: It is also a high-strength low-alloy structural steel with a carbon content of about 0.23%. Its strength is slightly lower than that of S355JR, but its plasticity and toughness are superior, and its impact toughness is relatively low. It is suitable for construction and engineering projects under general working conditions, such as building structures, industrial plants, etc.; its tensile strength is usually 470-630MPa, and its yield strength is 355MPa.

High strength: It has high yield strength and tensile strength, can withstand large loads, and provide reliable support for the structure.

Good toughness: S355JR still has good impact resistance at low temperatures; S355J0 has good toughness at room temperature, can withstand certain impact and vibration loads, and reduce the risk of brittle damage to the structure.

Excellent welding performance: The alloy element ratio is reasonable, the welding performance is good, it is easy to connect and assemble during construction, and can ensure welding quality and reduce defects.

Better corrosion resistance: Compared with ordinary carbon steel, the corrosion resistance is improved and it can resist erosion by the atmosphere, water, etc., but it still needs anti-corrosion treatment in harsh corrosive environments.

S355JR h profile steel: It is often used in occasions with high requirements for strength and low-temperature impact toughness, such as offshore platforms, bridge construction, high-rise buildings, etc.

S355J0 h beam section: It is widely used in general building structures, industrial plants, machinery manufacturing and other fields. In building structures, it can be used for beams, columns and frame structures; in industrial plants, it can be used as a supporting structure; in machinery manufacturing, it can be used to manufacture mechanical parts that bear a certain load.

UB 457x191x98 steel of S355JR structural steel beam and S355J0 steel beam can maintain good performance to a certain extent in their respective applicable low-temperature environments. If it needs to be used in a colder environment, such as below - 20℃ for a long time, S355J2 and others are more suitable for low-temperature environments.
