A36 structural H-beam belongs to carbon structural steel. It is a structural beam made of hot-rolled steel with high strength and excellent structural performance.

ASTM A36 is the main standard that A36 hot-rolled H-beam complies with, which specifies the technical requirements, chemical composition and mechanical properties of steel.

The typical chemical composition of A36H structural steel includes carbon (C) content up to about 0.26%, manganese (Mn) 0.80%-1.20%, phosphorus (P) up to 0.04%, sulfur (S) up to 0.05%, and silicon (Si) up to 0.40%.

Yield strength: The minimum yield strength of A36H steel is 250MPa. Under normal working conditions, the steel can withstand a certain force without permanent deformation.

Tensile strength: The tensile strength of A36 H-beam is in the range of 400-550MPa, which is the maximum force that it can withstand before breaking under tensile stress.

Elongation: The minimum elongation is 23%. The steel has ductility and the ability to deform plastically without breaking.

A36 hot-rolled H-beam has a variety of specifications and sizes. The common web width (H) is 100~900mm, the flange width (B) is 100~300mm, the web thickness (t1) is 5~30mm, the flange thickness (t2) is 5~30mm, and the length is usually 9m or 12m.
