A572GR50 w12x87 w12x96 wide parallel flange beam
W12x87 W12x96 wf steel beam is the American standard H-shaped steel model, where W stands for "Wide Flange"; 12 stands for the height of the steel section is 12 inches (about 304.8mm); 87/96 stands for the weight per foot of 87 pounds and 96 pounds (about 39.5kg/m and 43.6kg/m).
W12x87 w wide flange beam section dimensions: height about 304.8mm, flange width about 254mm, flange thickness about 16.26mm, web thickness about 11.68mm.
W12x96 w shape structural steel section dimensions: height about 304.8mm, flange width about 254mm, flange thickness about 18.92mm, web thickness about 12.45mm.
Material characteristics of A572GR50 h beam wide flange
Chemical composition: carbon (C) ≤0.20%, silicon (Si) ≤0.40%, manganese (Mn) ≤1.50%, niobium (Nb) 0.005-0.05%, other elements such as phosphorus (P) and sulfur (S) are strictly controlled.
Mechanical properties
Yield strength: 345 MPa (50 ksi)
Tensile strength: 490-600 MPa (71-87 ksi)
Elongation: 22%-35%
Impact toughness: impact energy ≥45 J at 0℃ (suitable for low temperature environment).
Performance advantages: high strength and toughness balance, corrosion resistance is better than ordinary carbon steel; excellent welding performance, suitable for complex structure welding.
Application of A572GR50 W12x87 W12x96 w flange beam
Buildings and bridges: used for high-rise building steel structures, large-span bridges, factory frames, etc., bearing large loads.
Heavy machinery: manufacturing key load-bearing parts of excavators, cranes, pressure vessels and other equipment.
Transportation: shipbuilding, railway vehicle structural parts, etc.
Production process and delivery status of A572GR50 W12x87 W12x96 w shape beam
Production process: adopt electric furnace steelmaking + continuous casting process, and optimize the organizational structure through controlled rolling and heat treatment (normalizing/tempering).
Delivery status: conventionally controlled rolling state, normalizing or normalizing + tempering state can be provided according to demand.
Cutting processing: CNC plasma/laser cutting is used when the thickness is ≤20mm; CNC flame cutting is used when the thickness is >30mm to ensure accuracy.
