ASTM A709 H Beam
ASTM A709 is a standard developed by the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) for rolled wide flange (H-beam and I-beam) steel for building structures.
The H Beam has an "H"-shaped cross section and a wide flange, which is suitable for bearing bidirectional bending moments and axial loads.

Advantages
- 1.High section accuracy: have undergone various tests and mature technical levels, which can ensure good processing effects, section accuracy, and the reliability of structural assembly.
- 2. Excellent performance: The thickness of the flange and web of H-beam can be increased according to requirements.
- 3. Lightweight structure: The structural weight of H-beams is lighter than that of concrete structures, reducing internal forces in structural design.
- 4.Flexible design style: With the same beam height, the spacing of steel structures can be 50% larger than that of concrete structures, making building designs more flexible and diverse.
- 5.High structural stability: H-beams have good plasticity and flexibility, high structural stability, and are suitable for building structures.
- 6.Save labor and materials: The cross-sectional dimensions of H-beams are designed reasonably, which can more effectively utilize materials and reduce the consumption of raw materials, energy, and labor.
Application
- 1.Beam and column components in industrial and civil structures, such as steel structure load-bearing brackets, steel piles and support structures .
- 2.Long span steel bridge components: used for constructing large-span steel structure bridges.
- 3. Ship and machinery manufacturing frame structure: such as the skeleton structure of ships and the frame of machinery manufacturing.
