M: Produced by Thermomechanical Processing (TMCP) with refined grain structure and enhanced mechanical properties.
L: Guaranteed low temperature toughness (-50°C) for arctic or cryogenic applications.
Standard: Hot rolled weldable fine grain steel in accordance with EN 10025-4.

Fabrication and Processing of GNEE S355ML Structural Steel
Hot Rolling: The billet is heated to 1100–1250°C, followed by controlled rolling and accelerated cooling (TMCP) to optimize the grain structure.
Post-treatment: Normalizing or quenching + tempering is selected for customer requirements and specific applications.
Welding: Low hydrogen electrodes (e.g. AWS E7018), preheated (100–150°C) to prevent cracking.
Machining: Suitable for cold/hot bending, drilling and flame cutting.
