Material characteristics of S355J0 h type steel beam
Mechanical properties: S355J0 belongs to the European standard EN10025-2 low alloy structural steel, with yield strength ≥355MPa, tensile strength 470-630MPa, 0℃ impact energy ≥27J, meeting the impact resistance requirements in low temperature environment.
Chemical composition: C≤0.22%, Mn≤1.60%, P/S≤0.025%, containing trace Al to refine grains, carbon equivalent (CET) ≤0.45, ensuring stable welding performance.
Processing and welding performance: Support cold bending, cutting, arc welding, submerged arc welding and other processes, welding needs to control heat input (≤2kJ/mm) to reduce the risk of embrittlement in the heat affected zone.
Surface treatment can be hot-dip galvanizing (zinc layer thickness ≥ 85μm) or spray anti-corrosion coating to improve weather resistance.

Delivery status: Conventional hot rolling (+AR) or normalizing (+N), normalizing treatment can improve low temperature toughness (grain size ≥6 grade).
