SM490 H-shaped HW HM HN Steel
H-beams are divided into hot-rolled and welded types. Hot-rolled H-beams include wide flange H-beams (HW), medium flange H-beams (HM), and narrow flange H-beams (HN).
The height of HW is similar to the width of the flange, and it is mainly used as a steel core column in reinforced concrete frame structure columns. The height-to-flange width ratio of HM is about 1.33-1.75, and it is mainly used as a steel frame column in steel structure and a frame beam in a frame structure that bears dynamic loads. The height-to-flange width ratio of HN is greater than or equal to 2, and it is mainly used for beams.
Physical properties
Weldability: It has excellent weldability and can be easily welded by various welding methods such as arc welding and gas shielded welding to meet the connection needs in the project.
Cold processing performance: It can be cut, bent, stamped, etc. by cold processing, with good formability, and is easy to process and manufacture various parts.
Corrosion resistance: The corrosion resistance of SM490 H-beam is similar to that of ordinary carbon steel. In a corrosive environment, appropriate anti-corrosion measures can be taken to extend the service life.
Specifications and dimensions
SM490 HW, HM, HN H-beams have various specifications. The height (H) of HW is generally 100mm~900mm, and the flange width (B) is similar to the height. The height of HM is generally 1.33~1.75 times the height of the flange width (B). The height of HN-beam also ranges from 100mm to 900mm, the flange width (B) is narrower, and the aspect ratio is greater than or equal to 2. The web thickness (t1) and flange thickness (t2) vary according to different specifications, generally 5mm to 16mm and 7mm to 28mm respectively. The length is usually 6-16m, and GNEE can be customized according to specific requirements.
Advantages
High strength-to-weight ratio: SM490 HW, HM, HN H-shaped steel has a high strength-to-weight ratio due to its reasonable cross-sectional design. While bearing a large load, it reduces the deadweight of the structure and improves the stability and economy of the structure.
Good mechanical properties: It has good tensile, compressive and bending properties, and can meet the mechanical performance requirements of different engineering purposes.
Good processing performance: The cross-sectional shape of hot-rolled H-shaped steel is regular, easy to cut, weld, drill and form, which is convenient for component processing and manufacturing, and improves construction efficiency.
