W16x60 W16x65 h section steel beams
W16x60 steel beam: the estimated height is about 410mm, the flange width is 200-210mm, the web thickness is about 11-12mm, and the flange thickness is about 17-19mm (refer to W16x57/W16x67 parameters for calculation) .
W16x65 structural steel beam: the estimated height is about 415mm, the flange width is 220-230mm, the web thickness is about 12-14mm, and the flange thickness is about 19-21mm .
W16x65 h steel profile has a greater web and flange thickness, and its bending resistance is about 15%-20% higher than that of W16x60, making it suitable for larger span scenarios.
Common materials for W16x60 and W16x65 h steel profiles are low-alloy steels such as A36, A572 Gr50 or A992:
A36 steel h profile: yield strength ≥250MPa, tensile strength 400-550MPa, elongation ≥20%, and excellent welding performance.
A992 h beam section: yield strength ≥345MPa, tensile strength ≥450MPa, stronger seismic performance, suitable for high-rise buildings.
Processing characteristics of W16x60 and W16x65 h beam profiles
Weldability : A36 material can be welded without preheating, and is suitable for arc welding, gas shielded welding and other processes. Weather resistance: No additional anti-corrosion is required in conventional environments, and galvanizing (plating ≥ 80μm) is recommended for humid or corrosive environments.
Typical application scenarios of W16x60 and W16x65 h profile steel
Construction engineering: load-bearing columns of industrial plants, large-span roof trusses (load ≤ 400kN/m²); floor support beams of multi-story commercial buildings to optimize space utilization.
Bridges and transportation: main beams of small and medium-span highway bridges to adapt to dynamic loads and fatigue stress; canopy frames of rail transit platforms to balance lightweight and strength requirements.
Mechanical manufacturing: heavy machinery bases, port crane rail beams, excellent impact resistance; mining equipment frame structures to adapt to complex stress environments.
