Products Description
S235J2 carbon steel plate is 1.0117. S235J2 is a commonly used carbon steel that can be easily welded to other weldable steels. Due to its low carbon content, it exhibits excellent cold-forming properties.

This steel plate is produced using a fully killed steel process and is supplied in either a normalized or controlled rolled condition. Widely used in shipbuilding, construction, and machinery manufacturing, EN10025 S235J2 steel plate offers reliable performance across various applications.

s235j2 Thickness Tolerance
Thickness tolerance for en 10025-2 s235j2 is governed by EN 10029, which specifies tolerances for hot-rolled plates 3 mm thick or above. For S235J2 (non-alloy structural steel with ReH ≥ 235 N/mm²), the default is Class A, unless otherwise specified. The table below summarizes EN 10029 Class A thickness tolerances:

Products Application
Construction: For bridges, buildings, and stadiums, where moderate strength (minimum yield strength 235 MPa, tensile strength 360–510 MPa) and low-temperature toughness are required.
Offshore Engineering: In platforms and wind turbines, leveraging its corrosion resistance and impact toughness (Charpy V-notch impact energy ≥ 27 J at –20 °C).
Heavy Machinery: For cranes, excavators, and mining equipment, where durability under dynamic loads is critical.
Shipbuilding: In hulls and superstructures, benefiting from its excellent weldability and strength.
Energy Sector: For pipelines and storage tanks, similar in performance to EN 10025 S355J2G3 steel plates but with moderate strength.
