S355J0 I Beams Products Production Process
The production process of S355J0 I-beam mainly includes the following key steps:
- Raw material preparation: choose raw materials that meet the requirements of chemical composition and mechanical properties.
- Melting furnace steelmaking: melt the raw materials at high temperatures and add suitable alloying elements to control the furnace temperature and chemical composition.
- Refining and degassing: remove impurities and gases in the liquid steel by means of vacuum degassing and RH refiner to improve the purity and quality of the liquid steel.
- Continuous casting: Inject the liquid steel into the continuous casting machine to form billets.
- Rolling: The billet is fed into the rolling mill for rolling to form the steel plate of the required thickness.
- Heat Treatment: Heat treatment of the rolled steel plate to improve its mechanical properties and weather resistance.
- Cooling and Cutting: Cooling and cutting of the rolled steel plate to meet different requirements.

- Mechanical properties
- The yield strength of S355J0 I-beam is 355MPa, the tensile strength is between 470-630MPa, and the elongation reaches 22%, showing excellent mechanical properties. Its impact toughness remains good at low temperatures, ensuring safety for use in harsh environments.
- Chemical Composition
- The main chemical composition of S355J0 I-beam steel includes carbon (C), silicon (Si), manganese (Mn), phosphorus (P), sulfur (S), and a small amount of alloying elements such as chromium (Cr), nickel (Ni), and copper (Cu). Among them, carbon is the main reinforcing element of steel, silicon and manganese can improve the strength and toughness of steel; phosphorus and sulfur are impurity elements, the content of which is too high will have an adverse effect on the performance of steel; and a small number of alloying elements can improve the corrosion resistance and fatigue resistance of steel and other properties.
