AISI 300M round stock steel is a low alloy vacuum melted alloy steel. 300M is a modified version of AISI 4340 solid round bar with higher molybdenum and silicon content compared to AISI 4340 round rod.
300M round metal stock has high strength, good toughness, fatigue strength and ductility; this makes 300M solid steel round bar useful in aircraft landing gear, fuselage components, flap rails, missile components and some motorsport applications.
