Cold-formed steel sheet piles are cold-formed from high-quality steel coils and formed into U-shapes, Z-shapes or any other desired shape through a continuous process.

 

The main differences compared to hot-rolled sheet piles are: cold-formed profiles have the same thickness on the flange and web; the interlocking device is looser and not as waterproof as the Larsen interlocking device; and the lower yield strength.

 

Cold-formed steel sheet piles are mainly used in small retaining walls, temporary cofferdams with low watertight requirements, dock wall anchor walls, dam reinforcement, river embankment reinforcement, etc.
