Hot Rolled Steel Sheet Metal Product Description
Marine steel plates refer to structural steel used in shipbuilding. It is considered a marine steel sheet and must be able to resist the corrosive effects commonly found in water environments. Hull structural steel is divided into different strength grades according to its minimum yield strength: general strength structural steel and high strength structural steel.
Grade A, Grade B, Grade D and Grade E are common shipbuilding steel plate grades. GNEE can provide Grade A, Grade B, Grade D and Grade E in any length. In addition, Grade A steel has Impact force; impact force of grade B steel at 0°C; impact force of grade D shipbuilding steel plate at -20°C; impact force of grade E steel at -40°C.
Grade A ship steel plate: is the strongest grade among the four grades. It has a minimum tensile strength of 58,000-71,000 psi (400-490 MPa) and a minimum yield strength of 34,000 psi (235 MPa). Grade A shipbuilding steel is primarily used in the construction of structural components of ships.
Grade B shipbuilding plates: Compared to Grade A, Grade B steel plates for shipbuilding are slightly less strong. It has a minimum tensile strength of 70,000-90,000 psi (480-620 MPa) and a minimum yield strength of 34,000 psi (235 MPa). It is also commonly used in shipbuilding.
Grade D ship building steel plate: Grade D steel is further reduced in strength compared to Grade B shipbuilding steel. It has a minimum tensile strength of 74,000-94,500 psi (510-650 MPa) and a minimum yield strength of 36,000 psi (250 MPa). Grade D steel is commonly used for structural and engineering purposes in shipbuilding.
Grade E shipbuilding plate: It has similar strength properties to Grade D marine steel plate, with a minimum tensile strength of 74,000-94,500 psi (510-650 MPa) and a minimum yield strength of 39,000 psi (275 MPa). Class E is commonly used for offshore structures and marine equipment.
