SS400 A36 L Angle Channel

ASTM A36 SS400 steel are basically the same. ASTM A36 steel falls under the standard of the American Society for Testing and Materials ASTM A36/ A36M. The SS400 steel falls under the standard of Japanese Industrial Standard JIS G3101.

Both ASTM A36 SS400 steel are structural hot rolled steel in the form of plates, sheets & strips for general structural applications. The ASTM standard A36 steel and the JIS standard SS400 steel chemical composition are also much the same.

Steel Angles are the most basic type of roll-formed steel. They are formed by bending a single angle in a piece of steel. Angle Steel is 'L' shaped; the most common type of Steel Angles are at a 90 degree angle. The legs of the "L" can be equal or unequal in length.
