U Section Steel Products Description
A1008 Cold Rolled Channel is ideal for most processing techniques. These channels are made from 18ga. (0.0478") and 16ga. (0.0598") material. Characterized by an oily smooth gray finish, high strength and low alloying, common applications include structural supports, trailers, railings, fences and other construction uses.
Cold rolled steel is manufactured in cold reduction steel mills where the metal is brought to room temperature and then annealed or tempered before rolling. This manufacturing process produces steel with more precise dimensional tolerances and a wider range of metal finishes.
