Material characteristics
Chemical composition: S355JR steel h beam and S355J0 h section steel are both low-carbon alloy structural steels with similar main chemical compositions, C content ≤0.22%, Si content ≤0.55%, Mn content ≤1.60%, P content ≤0.025%, and S content ≤0.025%.
Mechanical properties: The yield strength of both is 355MPa, the tensile strength is between 470 - 630MPa, and the elongation is 22%.
S355JR h-shaped beam requires an impact energy of 27J at 20℃, S355J0 h-shaped steel requires an impact energy of 27J at 0℃, S355J0 h-section steel beams are more suitable for use in low temperature environments, while S355JR h-beam material has better impact resistance at room temperature and higher temperatures.
