HEA140 HEB140 S275JR S355JR S355J2 Section Steel H Beam

S275JR h beam structure, S355JR h section beam and S355J2 structural h beam are three common H-beam materials. Their HEA140 and HEB140 steel dimensions are the same, but their mechanical properties are mainly different.

HEA140: height is 133mm, flange width is 140mm, web thickness is 5.5mm, and flange thickness is 8.5mm.

HEB140: height is 140mm, flange width is 140mm, web thickness is 7.0mm, and flange thickness is 12.0mm.

Yield strength
The yield strength of S275JR structural steel h beam is not less than 275MPa.
The yield strength of S355JR h beam material and S355J2 h beam steel structure is not less than 355MPa.

Tensile strength
The tensile strength of S275JR H-section steel is generally between 430 and 560MPa.
The tensile strength of S355JR h-section steel beam is generally between 510 and 680MPa.
The tensile strength of S355J2 h-shaped beam is similar to that of S355JR, generally also in the range of 510 to 680MPa.

Impact toughness
S275JR and S355JR usually have good impact toughness at room temperature, but the impact toughness will decrease in low temperature environment.
Compared with S355JR, S355J2 has better low-temperature impact toughness. S355J2 requires that a certain impact absorption energy can be maintained under low temperature conditions of - 20℃, while S355JR generally only requires that the impact toughness index be met at room temperature (20℃).
