EN Standard S355J0/S355JR 305x305x283 Universal Column
UC 305x305x283 H column steel
UC stands for the universal column steel in the British standard H-beam. 305x305 means that the height and width of the steel are both 305 mm, and 283 means that the theoretical weight per meter is 283 kg.
The inner and outer sides of the legs of UC 305x305x283 h section steel column are parallel, and the leg ends are at right angles, which has good bending resistance.
UC 305x305x283 h section column is usually produced by hot rolling process. GNEE will heat the steel billet to a high temperature, feed it into the rolling mill, and gradually roll it into the required cross-sectional shape and size through rollers of different shapes and specifications.
S355J0 material h beam
Chemical composition: It belongs to low alloy steel, C≤0.22%, Si≤0.55%, Mn≤1.60%, P≤0.025%, S content≤0.025%. Contains a small amount of alloy elements, such as Cr, Ni, Cu, etc., to improve corrosion resistance, fatigue resistance, etc.
Mechanical properties: yield strength is 355MPa, tensile strength is between 470-630MPa, and elongation is 22%.
S355JR h beam material
Chemical composition: C≤0.22%, Si≤0.55%, Mn≤1.60%, P≤0.025%, S≤0.025%.
Mechanical properties: yield strength 355MPa, tensile strength is between 470-630MPa, and elongation can reach about 22%.
The difference between the two H-shaped steel materials
Impact toughness: S355JR h type beam has good impact toughness at room temperature; S355J0 h profile steel still has good impact toughness at 0℃, and better low temperature performance.
Application scenarios: S355JR steel beam h is suitable for structures that bear large loads and moments in normal temperature working environments; S355J0 h type steel beam is more suitable for structures that may face low temperature environments, such as buildings and bridges in cold areas.
