Grade A992 Hot Rolled H-Beam Steel
A992 hot rolled steel is widely used in various construction projects. In building construction, it is used for frame structures, including columns and beams, to provide the necessary strength and stability to support the weight of the building and its occupants.
Chemical composition of A992 hot rolled H beam
Carbon (C): Typically, the carbon content is limited to a maximum of 0.23%.
Manganese (Mn): The manganese content is usually in the range of 0.80% - 1.50%.
Phosphorus (P) and Sulfur (S): Phosphorus content is usually limited to a maximum of 0.04% and sulfur content is limited to a maximum of 0.05%.
Silicon (Si): Silicon content is very small, usually about 0.15% - 0.40%.
Mechanical properties of A992 steel h beam
Yield strength: The minimum yield strength is 50 ksi (thousand pounds per square inch), which is about 345 MPa.
Tensile Strength: Tensile strength is in the range of 65 - 80 ksi (448 - 552 MPa).
Elongation: Minimum elongation requirement is 20% at 8 inches.
Throughout the manufacturing process, GNEE implements stringent quality control measures, including testing the chemical composition of the steel, conducting mechanical property tests such as tensile and impact tests, and non-destructive testing to check for any internal or surface defects. The A992 standard H-beams we provide meet the regulations and are suitable for use in construction projects.
