Material properties and mechanical properties of S355J0 h beam structure
Chemical composition
Carbon (C)≤0.22%, manganese (Mn)≤1.60%, sulfur (S) and phosphorus (P)≤0.040%; silicon (Si) is added to enhance the deoxidation ability, and niobium-titanium microalloying technology improves strength.
Mechanical properties
Yield strength: ≥355MPa, tensile strength470-630MPa.
Elongation: ≥20% (A₅ gauge length), Impact toughness: ≥27J at 20℃ (meets the "J0" grade requirements).
Processing and welding performance of S355J0 h section beam
Cold bending and cutting
Support high-precision cold bending processing. Flame cutting can be used when the web thickness is ≤16mm. Plasma or laser cutting is recommended for thick plates.
The cut needs to be polished after cutting to avoid stress concentration.
Welding process
Applicable to arc welding (SMAW) and gas shielded welding (MIG/MAG). Preheating to 150-200℃ is required to control the heat affected zone.
Low hydrogen electrodes (such as E7018) are recommended, and UT flaw detection is required after welding.
