S420M S420ML Beam Steel
S420M h beam section is a thermomechanically rolled weldable fine grain structural steel in flat rolled sections up to 120 mm thick.
S420ML is the European standard high strength structural steel, similar to the national standard Q420q, it has good mechanical properties and process performance, high NMenability, adding vanadium to make the steel grain refinement, reduce the sensitivity to overheating, improve the strength and toughness, with high fatigue strength, yield ratio is also higher, but the weldability is poor, and the plasticity of the cold due to deformation is also relatively low.
S420ML mechanical properties: yield strength σs (MPa) ≥ 1300; elongation δ5 (%) ≥ 6; section shrinkage ψ (%) ≥ 25; NMness ≤ 321HBW.
S420ML structural metal beams are suitable for heavy-duty components of welded structures for use in ambient and low-temperature conditions, e.g. bridges, sluice gates, storage and water supply tanks.
