Universal Beam EN 10025 S355JR 457x152x67/74 Steel
UB 457×152×67 h section steel beam: indicates that the height of the steel section is 457mm, the flange width is 152mm, the web thickness is 67mm, and the weight per meter is about 67kg.
UB 457×152×74 h type steel beam: The height and flange width are the same, but the web thickness is increased to 74mm, and the weight per meter is about 74kg.
Both models belong to the British standard H-shaped steel (Universal Beams) and are formed by hot rolling process.
Core characteristics of S355JR h beam material
Yield strength: ≥355MPa, tensile strength 470-630MPa.
Elongation: ≥20% (A₅ gauge length).
Impact toughness: ≥27J at 20℃ (indicator of suffix "JR").
Chemical composition: Carbon (C) ≤0.22%, manganese (Mn) ≤1.60%, sulfur (S) and phosphorus (P) ≤0.040%.
Advantages of S355JR structural steel h beam High strength: Compared with S275JR, S355JR can reduce the material usage by 15-20% and reduce the total weight of the structure.
Low temperature resistance: Applicable to -20℃ environment, and still maintains stable performance under dynamic load.
Application of S355JR structural h beam
Building structure: Core column of high-rise building, main beam of large-span truss (S355JR is preferred due to high bearing capacity).
Infrastructure: Bridge main beam, pier support (especially in wind pressure/seismic zone scenarios).
Machinery manufacturing: Heavy equipment chassis, crane track base material (high fatigue resistance required).
