What is 09CuPCrNi-A corten steel sheet?
09CuPCrNi-A weathering steel sheet is a copper-chromium-nickel-phosphorus alloy-stabilized high-strength weathering steel sheet, designed for structural applications with an atmospheric corrosion resistance 2 to 8 times higher than that of ordinary carbon steel.
Through the precisely controlled addition of alloying elements such as copper (0.25% - 0.55%), chromium (0.30% - 1.25%), nickel (0.12% - 0.65%), and high phosphorus (0.07% - 0.15%), a dense protective rust layer is formed on the steel surface to effectively prevent further oxidation.
Our 09CuPCrNi-A weathering steel sheet eliminates the vulnerability of ordinary carbon steel to localized rusting and perforation, allowing it to withstand more severe atmospheric exposure and structural loads (supporting design working stresses up to 310–345 MPa), while maintaining a dense and robust surface protective layer, thereby reducing long-term life-cycle maintenance costs by more than 50%.
It has a minimum tensile strength of 450 MPa, a minimum yield strength of 310 MPa, and an elongation exceeding 22%. These steel sheets are engineered for extreme outdoor environments, supporting long-term continuous operation in industrial atmospheres and periodic wet-dry cycles.
Its annual average corrosion rate can be as low as 0.01 mm/a in harsh atmospheric environments, extending its service life by more than 2 to 8 times compared to standard carbon steel under bare (unpainted) conditions.

Before shipment, all 09CuPCrNi-A weathering steel plates undergo strict full-process testing and inspection. This includes 100% normalizing or controlled rolling heat treatment, ultrasonic testing (UT), drop weight impact testing, and positive material identification (PMI) spectral verification.
All products are supplied with EN 10204 3.2 Material Test Certificates (MTC), and are fully certified by internationally recognized third-party organizations including SGS, Bureau Veritas (BV), and ISO 9001.
In addition, we provide comprehensive one-stop value-added processing services, including fixed-length cutting, beveling, pre-rusting surface treatment, and steel plate bending.
Our standard delivery time is within 15 working days. With a flexible minimum order quantity (MOQ) as low as 1 piece (or 1 ton), we are fully equipped to support both small-scale pilot orders (such as landscaping samples) and large-scale engineering procurement requirements with strong manufacturing capability.

What is the difference between 09CuPCrNi-A and Q355B Steel?
09CuPCrNi-A and Q355B differ mainly in corrosion resistance. Q355B is a structural steel with yield strength ≥355 MPa and tensile strength of 470–630 MPa, but it has no self-protecting corrosion resistance and requires coating for protection.
09CuPCrNi-A is a weathering steel with about 2–8 times higher atmospheric corrosion resistance than ordinary carbon steels, forming a protective rust layer through alloying elements such as Cu (≥0.25%) and Cr (0.40–0.65%).
What is the difference between 09CuPCrNi-A and Q355B Steel?
A588 is more of a strictly ASTM-certified structural weathering steel, while 09CuPCrNi-A is a more flexible, cost-effective, and trade-friendly weathering steel with wider supply adaptability for engineering applications.
Application of 09CuPCrNi-A Corten Steel Sheet
09CuPCrNi-A weather resistant stel sheet is manly used for shiping contaners, stelbridges, vesels and tanks for preventing atmospheric corrosion usage.

09CuPCrNi-A steel plates are subject to strict quality inspection, including optional 100% ultrasonic testing (UT), spectroscopic PMI chemical verification, and mechanical property testing in accordance with EN 10025/EN 10029.
All products are supplied with EN 10204 3.1/3.2 certificates, and third-party inspection (SGS/BV) is available upon request to ensure full quality traceability.

09CuCrNi-A steel plates packing
09CuCrNi-A steel plates are typically packed in standard seaworthy export packaging: plates are bundled with steel strips, fixed on wooden pallets or steel skids, and protected with waterproof plastic film and rust-preventive oil coating if required.
Edge protectors are added to prevent deformation during handling, and each bundle is clearly marked with heat number, grade, size, and batch information for full traceability during transportation and delivery.
