16MnCr5 gear steel is equivalent to 16CrMnH steel (refer to GB/T 5216-2004). 16MnCr5 steel has good NMenability and machinability. High surface hardness and wear resistance can be obtained after heat treatment, and the low temperature impact toughness is also high.
