1. What is 201 and 304 stainless steel?
Stainless steel 304 contains 18-20% chromium, 8-10.5% nickel, and less than 2% manganese. It resists corrosion in acidic foods with up to 5% citric acid. Stainless steel 201 has 16-18% chromium, 3.5-5.5% nickel, and 5.5-7.5% manganese. This lower nickel makes it less durable.
