ASTM A992 Wide Flange H Beam for Construction
ASTM A992 steel is a commonly used wide flange beam steel grade, containing a variety of alloying elements such as vanadium or niobium, copper, nickel, chromium and molybdenum, all of which greatly improve its strength and other properties. The mechanical properties of A992 steel beams are superior to A572-50 and A36, with a tensile strength of 65ksi and a yield strength of 65ksi. A992 H-beam wide flange beams (H-beams) usually replace A572-50 structural steel beams.
