1.What is the round bar?
A round bar is an alloy steel containing about 0.42–0.50 carbon. It has good resistance, is less susceptible to corrosion or oxidation, and is highly elastic. Round bar is also known as round flat steel or plain round steel. This type of steel is dense, and the surface is smooth and shiny.
2.What is the current types of round bars?
Due to high demand, the market currently has many types of plain round steel. However, it is still divided into two main types based on two criteria, including size and steel hook. Specifically:
By size: The round bar has a variety of sizes, ranging from types from Ø10 to Ø610 with lengths of 6m, 9m, and 12 m, respectively.

3.What is the production process of round bar
To create a round bar, we need to go through four stages, including:
– Ore processing: After ore is extracted from the ground, it will be processed and put into a furnace. After heating to a certain temperature, we will obtain a stream of molten metal.
– Creating a molten steel stream: From the initial metal stream, which continues to be led into the furnace, CO gas will escape, and the ore that remains will be molten steel. This steel will be filtered to become pure molten steel.
– Feed casting: When pure molten steel is obtained, it will be sent to the billet casting furnace. This step will create three types of embryos: bar embryos, session embryos, and bloom embryos.
– Billet rolling: This is the step to creating solid, flexible, brightly colored round steel bars.
– Galvanizing: With galvanized round bar steel, this is the step of using NOF technology to plate a layer of zinc on the surface of the steel bar. This step helps increase corrosion resistance and preserve the inner steel core.
4.What is the advantages and disadvantages of a round bar
As mentioned, a round bar is considered an excellent alternative to old steel lines. It is not natural that it is so highly appreciated. Let's take a look at the pluses and minuses of clear, solid steel!
Advantage
Steel is flexible, malleable, and easy to process to the required size.
Steel is relatively small and light, so it is easy to transport and manufacture.
Diverse in size, suitable for many applications
The surface is smooth and shiny, so it is highly aesthetic.
Disadvantages
Steel has a short lifespan because it is only covered with a thin layer of electroplating on the outside.
May deform when exposed to high temperatures.
Because the intestines are dense, it takes time to process.
