Characteristics and Application of Hot-rolled Special-shaped Steel

Hot-rolled special-shaped steel is a kind of steel that is formed by a specific die during the hot rolling process to obtain various cross-sectional shapes. Due to its unique shape and performance, hot-rolled special-shaped steel has been widely used in construction, machinery, transportation and other fields.

The production process of hot-rolled special-shaped steel mainly includes three main steps: heating, rolling and straightening. Compared with traditional ordinary steel, hot-rolled special-shaped steel has obvious advantages.

First, its cross-sectional shape can be customized according to actual needs, improving the utilization rate of materials and the stability of the structure; secondly, the strength and rigidity of hot-rolled special-shaped steel are high, which can meet the load-bearing requirements of various complex structures; in addition, the production process of hot-rolled special-shaped steel is relatively mature, low-cost, and easy to mass-produce.

In practical applications, hot-rolled special-shaped steel is widely used in high-rise buildings, bridges, highways and other fields. In high-rise buildings, hot-rolled special-shaped steel can be used to manufacture steel structure frames to improve the building's seismic resistance and load-bearing capacity; in bridge construction, hot-rolled special-shaped steel can be made into bridge components of various shapes to meet different span and load-bearing requirements; in highway construction, hot-rolled special-shaped steel can be used to manufacture guardrails, sign poles and other facilities to improve road safety and durability.
