Hot Rolled Structural Carbon Steel Round Bar S45C 1045 EN8D Forged

1: EN C45 Steel Introduction
EN C45 steel is an unalloyed medium carbon steel, which is also a general carbon engineering steel. C45 is a medium strength steel with good machinability and excellent tensile properties. C45 round steel is generally supplied in the black hot rolled or occasionally in the normalised condition, with a typical tensile strength range 570 - 700 Mpa and Brinell hardness range 170 - 210 in either condition. It does not however respond satisfactorily to nitriding due to a lack of suitable alloying elements.

1.What are steel round bars used for?
Steel round bars are vital in building infrastructure like bridges, skyscrapers, and residential homes. For example, TMT bars provide the strength and flexibility needed to reinforce concrete structures. Industries use round bars to create tools, machinery components, and automotive parts.
2.What is 4140 round bar?
Alloy Steel Round Bar 4140 is a round shaped bar of oil-hardening, chromium-molybdenum 4140 steel. It has good strength and wear resistance, excellent toughness and ductility. 4140 Alloy steel can resist stress and creep at prolonged high temperatures (up to 1000°F).
3.Is rebar stronger than round bar?
The first key difference to note is within the strength of the two bars. The rebar has a much higher tensile and maximum bending strength. Such properties make it the perfect material for fortifying concrete. In doing just that, the rebar can withhold its molecular integrity for well over 100 years.
4.What is the ASTM standard for round bars?
Specification: ASTM A276
ASTM A276 Scope: This specification covers hot-finished or cold-finished bars except bars for reforging. It includes rounds, squares, and hexagons, and hot-rolled or extruded shapes, such as angles, tees, and channels in the more commonly used types of stainless steels.
5.What is stronger, 4130 or 4140 steel?
4140 steel boasts a higher tensile strength compared to 4130. It typically ranges from 655 MPa (95,000 psi) to 979 MPa (142,000 psi) depending on the heat treatment.
