317L stainless round bar (ASTM A276; GB 022Cr19Ni13Mo3) is a low-carbon austenitic alloy designed for aggressive chemical environments, with a robust composition: 18.0–20.0% chromium (Cr), 11.0–15.0% nickel (Ni), 3.0–4.0% molybdenum (Mo), ≤0.03% carbon (C), and ≤2.00% manganese (Mn).

The higher molybdenum content (vs. 316L's 2–3%) enhances resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion in acids (sulfuric, phosphoric) and chloride-rich solutions-making it ideal for chemical storage tanks and reactor vessels. Its mechanical properties include 485 MPa minimum tensile strength, 170 MPa yield strength, and 40% elongation, maintaining ductility even after welding. 317L is equivalent to EN 1.4438 and JIS SUS317L, with Made-in-China listings emphasizing its "Acid-Resistant Stainless Round Bar."
