60Si2CrA (GB/T 1222) is a premium spring steel with properties optimized for precision applications like valve springs and instrument springs:
Tensile strength: 1765–1960 MPa after quenching (870°C) and tempering (440°C), providing exceptional load-bearing capacity in small diameters.
Yield strength: ≥1570 MPa, ensuring consistent spring performance with minimal set (permanent deformation).
Hardness: 45–50 HRC, balancing elasticity and wear resistance for long service life.
Fatigue limit: ≥650 MPa for 10⁷ cycles, critical for springs in high-frequency applications like diesel injectors.
Its chemistry (0.56–0.64% C, 1.60–2.00% Si, 0.40–0.70% Cr) enhances hardenability and fatigue resistance, making it equivalent to ASTM 9260A. 60Si2CrA is used in precision machinery where spring performance directly impacts equipment accuracy.
