Cold-drawn rounds, used for tight-tolerance parts, follow these standards:

U.S.: ASTM A108, specifying dimensional tolerances (±0.0005 in for diameters <1 in), surface finish (Ra ≤16 μin), and straightness (<0.001 in/in). It covers grades 1018, 1215, and 304.

Europe: EN 10278, defining "bright steel" rounds with tolerance classes (h7 for precision) and requiring ultrasonic testing for diameters >50 mm. Grades include 1.0402 (C15E) and 1.4301 (304).

China: GB/T 3078, with Grade 1 tolerance (±0.01 mm for 10–30 mm diameters) and strict non-destructive testing for bearing steel rounds (GCr15).

These standards ensure cold-drawn rounds meet the precision needs of automotive (fuel injectors) and aerospace (actuator rods) applications.
