Boiler Plate Product Description
ASTM A515 vessel steel plate is a steel plate product with three different strength grades available: Grade 60, Grade 65 and Grade 70.
Carbon-silicon steel plates covered by the ASTM A515 boiler steel specification are primarily used for medium and high temperature applications in welded boilers and other pressure vessels.
A515 pressure vessel steel plate is the most commonly used high-strength steel plate in boiler and pressure vessel manufacturing and meets the quality standards of the oil, gas and petrochemical industries.
ASTM A516 pvq steel plate is also called ASME SA516 vessel steel plate. The full name of the A516 / SA516 pressure vessel plate material standard is "Standard specification for pressure vessel plates (carbon steel) suitable for medium and low temperature environments."
Carbon steel plates covered by the ASTM A516 boiler steel specification are primarily used for welded pressure vessels that require high notch toughness. According to different strength levels, A516 pressure vessel steel plate is divided into four grades: 55, 60, 65 and 70. The most common is grade 70, or A516-70 pressure vessel plate.
