Chemical Composition
- The main chemical composition of ASTM A453/A453M Gr.660 round bar includes elements such as nickel (24.0-27.0%), chromium (13.5-17.0%), molybdenum, titanium and aluminium. These components give the alloy excellent resistance to oxidation and corrosion in high temperature environments.
Mechanical Properties
ASTM A453/A453M Gr.660 round bar exhibits excellent mechanical properties after solution treatment and aging:
- Tensile Strength: Up to 850 MPa or more, indicating that the alloy is capable of withstanding large forces without fracture when subjected to tensile forces.
- Yield strength: above 550 MPa, indicating that the alloy is capable of maintaining good plastic deformation within a certain stress range when subjected to external forces.
- Elongation: 15% or more, indicating that the alloy is capable of large plastic deformation without fracture when subjected to external forces.
- Section shrinkage: 25% or more, indicating that the alloy is able to maintain good structural integrity after fracture.
